HTML5 banners
HTML5 banners
Interactive display ads for agencies and brands. I spent years building banner campaigns for AAA gaming publishers, now I do it freelance.
Background
I built HTML5 banner campaigns for PlayStation, Activision, Square Enix, and Blizzard while working at Diva Agency. That meant tight deadlines, strict ad network specs, and creative directors who wanted things to look cinematic at 300x250.
Now I do the same work freelance. If you need banners for a campaign, whether it's a single size or a full set across every IAB format, I can handle it. I'm particularly experienced with gaming and entertainment, but the skills translate to any industry.
Most of that work is under NDA, but one recent job I can show in full. See the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 banners and social cuts I made with Llama, live builds and all.
Examples
Spec banners I built for fun, based on some of my favourite books. These are live banners, not videos. Try moving your mouse over them.
What you get
Everything you need for a campaign, delivered ready to traffic
All IAB formats
Every standard size plus custom dimensions. One design, adapted across your entire campaign.
Custom animations
GSAP, CSS3, and interactive elements. Smooth, performant animations that actually grab attention.
Rich media
Video integration, hover effects, expandable formats. More than just a static image with a fade.
Ad network ready
Built to spec for Google Ads, CM360, DV360, Amazon DSP and the other major networks. Click tags and all.
Common questions
Movement catches the eye in a way a still image can't. You can also do things like video backgrounds, hover effects and countdowns that just aren't possible with a JPEG.
All standard IAB sizes. 300x250, 728x90, 300x600, 970x250, 160x600, mobile formats, the lot. Most campaigns need 6-8 sizes. I adapt the design to work at every dimension rather than just cropping.
Yes. Every banner I deliver is built to spec for the ad network you're using. File size limits, click tags, trafficking requirements. It's all handled. I've been doing this long enough to know what each platform needs.
A single banner takes a few days. A full multi-size campaign is usually 7-10 days including revisions. If you're on a tight deadline, let me know. I can often work faster if I have the assets upfront.
The campaigns I built for PlayStation, Activision and Square Enix are under NDA, so they stay off the site. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 case study shows a recent job in full, live builds and all.
