Freelance web developer on Gloucester Road, Bristol
I'm an independent web developer based on Gloucester Road in BS7. I've been building websites for over 10 years, and Bristol is home. I built the site for Dreamers Zine, a Bristol creative magazine, and I work with small businesses across BS6, BS7, and the rest of the city.
I'm not an agency. There's no office in Clifton, no team of project managers. You deal with me directly, I do the work, and the lack of overhead means my prices are sensible. I've also built sites for clients in London (including Jude Law's production company) and Bath, so the work isn't limited to Bristol. But Bristol is where I'm most available for in-person meetings, same-day responses, and grabbing a coffee to talk through what you need.
What I build
Business websites, e-commerce stores, and custom web applications. I work with Astro, Next.js, Vue, and React for modern sites. WordPress when it's the right tool. Everything is mobile-first, fast, and built with search engines in mind. I also build HTML5 banner campaigns for agencies and brands. Email me if you'd like to see the private portfolio.
I cover Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Redland, Cotham, Stokes Croft, and the rest of Bristol. If you're a small business anywhere in the city, I'm probably the most local developer you'll find who isn't an agency charging agency rates.
How it works
We'll have a conversation about what you need. That can be a call, a video chat, or a coffee on Gloucester Road. I'll put together a proposal with a clear scope and price. Once you're happy, I build it. You'll have a staging link to check progress as I go, and I keep you updated without you having to chase.
Pricing
I offer a £69/month plan that covers design, development, hosting, and ongoing updates. No big upfront cost, no lock-in beyond the first year. For larger or more complex projects, I quote on a per-project basis. You'll know what it costs before I start.

No. I work with clients across the UK and beyond. I've built sites for a London production company and businesses in Devon. Bristol is just where I'm based.
Usually, yes. WordPress, Shopify, custom code. I'll have a look and give you an honest assessment of whether it's worth improving or starting fresh.
Most business sites take 4-6 weeks from first conversation to launch. More complex projects take longer, but I'll give you a realistic timeline upfront.
